TYNESIDE CINEMA IN NEWCASTLE LAUNCHES IT'S TALENT UNIT TO SUPPORT LOCAL CREATIVES!
The beloved Tyneside Cinema has opened the doors to the new state of the art edit suites and industry standard equipment, in order to provide free access, giving more opportunity to talented creative artists - film makers, musicians, to learn and grow in the industry!
The Talent Unit was introduced to offer unique talent development opportunities for young people aspiring to work within the screen and content industry.
In doing so Tyneside Cinema is helping create industry opportunities for working class people, which we love to champion.
With thanks to the Sir James Knott Trust, who have provided £75,000 funding to help set up the impressive initiative that will aim to support over 150 young people a year.
Tyneside Talent Unit is backed by talented role models such as; Oscar Winning Director Danny Boyle, Actor Stephen Tompkinson, Actor, Singer, Songwriter and Producer Kema Sikazwe AKA Kema Kay, Chef and Presenter Si King, Actress and Writer Jill Halfpenny and Oscar Winning Screenwriter Peter Straughan.
The North East is such a creative powerhouse and to see such support for our talented, creative artists in the North East is something that fills our hearts with joy
